Jacob Aelion, M.D.
Dr. Jacob Aelion joined Medical Specialty Clinic in 1998. Dr. Aelion, who has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years, is a staff physician and consultant in rheumatology and metabolic bone disease and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology. He also is certified by the Society for Clinical Densitometry. Dr. Aelion received his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at the University of Tel-Aviv in Israel. After an internship and residency in Israel, his clinical fellowship in rheumatology was at UT in Memphis. Dr. Aelion also is founding president of the Tennessee Rheumatology Society.



Nimesh Dayal, M.D.
Dr. Nimesh Dayal, a board-certified rheumatologist, is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. He received his medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, Africa. He did his internal medicine training at the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He was a post doctorate clinical research Fellow in rheumatology at Northwestern University in Chicago and completed his training in clinical rheumatology at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Dayal is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and has presented at regional and national scientific meetings of the American College of Rheumatology.



Satish Odhav, M.D.
Dr. Satish Odhav earned his medical degree from the University of Wirwatersraud, Johannesburg; his fellowship in rheumatology was at the University of Tennessee. Board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology, Dr. Odhav also is certified by the Society for Clinical Densitometry. Dr. Odhav serves on the board of directors for the West Tennessee Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.

Dr. Aelion wins award

Dr. Alex Townes of Nashville presents the President’s Award of the Tennessee Rheumatology Society to Dr. Jacob Aelion of the Arthritis Clinic in 2008. Dr. Aelion was a founder of the organization in 2003. Dr. Townes received the award last year.
