George A. Vraney, M.D.Dr. Vraney has a hospital-based practice. He specializes in pulmonology and critical care medicine, along with treating asthma and allergies in patients who are six years old and older. Dr. Vraney moved to Jackson in 2003 from Auburn, Maine, where he worked at Central Maine Allergy and Chest Medicine, P.A., and was president of the medical staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center there. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. He has additional training and experience in hyperbaric medicine and wound care. In his 30 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Vraney has been active in teaching, lecturing and clinical research and also spent three years of active duty in the U.S. Army. He is a medical graduate of the Marquette School of Medicine in Milwaukee, Wis. His internal medicine residency and pulmonary fellowship were at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
