Alexander Alperovich, M.D.Dr. Alexander Alperovich, who is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and interventional cardiology, spent nearly ten years with Cardiac Care Specialists, P.A., in Orlando, Florida, before joining Apex Cardiology in 2007. His medical degree is from Kaunas University Medical School in Kaunas, Lithuania. His internship in internal medicine was at Second City Teaching Hospital in Vilnius, Lithuania. Dr. Alperovich’s internal medicine residency was at the Beth Israel Medical Center of Mount Sinai School of Medicine Hospital in New York and his cardiology fellowship was at Beth Israel Medical Center of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York. He also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Alperovich is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His interests include cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular disease.
Henry Lui, M.D. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology, Dr. Lui received his medical degree from the University of California School of Medicine. His internship and residency in internal medicine were at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco. His residency in cardiovascular medicine was at the University of California Medical Center, Sacramento. He moved to Jackson in 1996 from Daytona Beach, Fla., were he was a clinical cardiologist and assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of South Florida.

Adey Agbetoyin, M.D.
Dr. Agbetoyin is a board certified, invasive cardiologist who completed his fellowship training at Seton Hall University in Newark, N.J. He was chief resident of internal medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Agbetoyin is a graduate of the Minsk State Medical Institute in Minsk, Belarus. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

Louis Cunningham, M.D.A Jackson native, Dr. Cunningham founded Mid-South Heart Center in 1993. He is a graduate of Meharry Medical College where he served as an assistant professor. Dr. Cunningham completed his cardiology fellowship at Harlem Hospital in New York. He is a Board Certified specialist in the field of cardiovascular disease and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Tommy Miller III, M.D.
Dr. Miller, an interventional cardiologist, earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. Board certified in cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Miller completed his internship and residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. He also completed his cardiology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth and his interventional fellowship at Cooper Hospital, University Center, in Camden, New Jersey. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, National Medical Association and the American Medical Association. He joined Dr. Cunningham in January 2007.

Ronald I. Weiner, D.O.Dr. Weiner is board certified in both internal medicine and in cardiology. A medical graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Weiner had his internship and residency at JFK Memorial Hospital in Stratford, N.J., and his cardiovascular fellowship at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. He also has held several university teaching positions and has written numerous articles for publication.
