Remy Valdivia, M.D.
Dr. Remy Valdivia, who is board-certified in both electromyography and rehabilitation medicine, founded EMG Specialty Clinics, P.C.
Dr. Valdivia specializes in electromyography, testing that evaluates the health of muscles and nerves. He is the only board-certified electromyographer serving Jackson. While in Jackson, he has performed nerve and muscle testing on thousands of patients, including those with focal nerve entrapments or injuries, generalized peripheral neuropathies, and myopathies. A complete report is faxed to the referring provider’s office within a day of testing. The symptoms that patients typically get referred for include numbness, tingling, burning, pain, and weakness.
Dr. Valdivia sees patients in his main office in Jackson, as well as in eight conveniently located satellite clinics in Dyersburg, Henderson, McKenzie, Milan, Lexington, Paris, South Jackson and Union City.
Here is his schedule:
• Jackson, Tuesdays, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Wellsprings Plaza, 3363 North Highland Avenue. (see map below)
• McKenzie, second and fourth Wednesday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and only in the mornings on the fifth Wednesday of each month. He is located right behind McKenzie Regional Hospital in the McKenzie Medical Center, 205 Hospital Drive.
• Lexington, every other Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Family Physicians of Lexington Clinic at 250 Boswell Street behind Super D Drug Store.
• Dyersburg, alternating Fridays, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Family Walk-in Clinic at 2017 St. John Avenue along Route 51.
• Union City, every other Thursday, at the Union City Medical Center, 1720 East Reelfoot Avenue Suite 103, which is along Route 431.
• Paris, every other Monday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the East Wood Clinic, 1323 East Wood Street along route 79. Patients are to enter the clinic through the iron gate in the rear of the building.
• Henderson, alternating Thursdays, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., at Star Physical Therapy, which is located at 361 East Main Street across from the Big Star grocery store on Route 100.
• Bemis, every other Monday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., at Bemis Medical Center II, 1463 South Highland Avenue in Vantress Plaza.
• Milan, first and third Wednesday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and only in the afternoons on the fifth Wednesday. He is located in Milan General Hospital, 4039 South Highland Avenue. Patients are to register in the emergency room outpatient entry.
Dr. Valdivia is a provider for most commercial insurance carriers, performs testing for worker’s compensation cases, and serves those covered under Medicare and Medicaid.
